Weekly Divination Outlook - 07/06/20

Hey, all my lovely mystical peeps out there!

How is everyone doing after this last week? Still hanging in there, I hope. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm tired and slightly drained after all that inner work I've been doing. I intend to keep going with it. Probably at a slower pace, though, just for survival's sake.

Also, I'm going to go ahead and apologize for not posting on Friday like I usually do. I'm not gonna lie; I was a bit of a mess and just couldn't do it. So the post I was going to be doing on Friday, Dealing with Trauma Divination Spread, I will instead post this Friday.

Now, let's get on to today's topic of the Weekly Outlook...

This week I was drawn to use King for the spread. To be honest, I was a bit leery of using him since he pulls no punches, and I was already feeling tad bruised around the edges. But I always try to listen to my intuition when it tells me to use specific decks. And what do you know? I actually survived the reading, lol!

For those of you who may not know, King is the name of one of my decks. He's actually the Eight Coins Tattoo Tarot by Lana Zellner. Which, I recommend by the way. I should really do a review on him actually... But that's for another day.

I will say we got a lotta Cups energy this week. Even my Card of the Day pull yesterday was the 7 of Cups Reversed! I feel like they're going to haunt me this week...

As always here's the spread I use:

And this is what our full spread looks like:

1. Monday: #14 Temperance

  • Stone: Moss Agate

  • We're just coming out with the big guns right outta the gate this week, aren't we? Also, even though this card is one of the Major Arcana and not one of the Cups, it still has two in its depiction. Hmm...

  • Today is a day to slow it down and take our time, really consider things going forward. Solutions will come to us when we're ready to pay attention to them. In order to get the answers that we seek, we must remember to keep our calm, balance, and level-headedness about us. It might be difficult, and we may feel trapped in a whirlpool of noisy chaos, but we have to look for and embrace our own inner peace. Through maintaining patience, balance, and moderation in our lives, we can fully focus on our goals. Which, in turn, gives us the ability to achieve them. This week we will take the time we need to make sure we do the very best we can. We open our third eye and patiently follow where our intuition guides us.

2. Tuesday: Queen of Swords Reversed

  • Stone: Dalmatian Stone

  • Ooooh... we're all feeling a tad emotional today, I see. Don't worry, everyone has those days now and again. Emotions can be volatile, and sometimes they end up being a tangled, ticking time-bomb waiting to go off. We have to remember not to let them get the best of us and make any hasty decisions that we'll regret later. Some of yesterday's Temperance is definitely called for, for today. Take a step back, a deep breath, and be logical about things. A little objectivity and careful consideration can go a long way right now. Just be sure not to turn those emotions of yours off completely. People have a tendency to read that wrongly as being a mean cold-hearted... Well... Witch, LOL! People don't understand that when you're like that (at least with me), it's because you're feeling too much emotionally. It's a balancing act, keeping to your emotions in check enough to not be overly emotional and make bad decisions. While staying logical and objective enough about things to make calculated choices but not come off as completely unfeeling. Again, Temperance, balance, and moderation in all things my dears!

3. Wednesday: 5 of Cups

  • Stone: Moss Agate

  • We have to remember not to get so stuck in our own heads that we let pessimism and grief over old wounds overtake our minds and hearts. Overthinking things and getting stuck in the past will only lead us to a downward spiral and to more pain. By staying locked into your past, you don't live in the present or think about the future. This is ultimately damaging to your life and mental well-being. Wallowing in self-pity never did anyone any good. It's time to let it go and move on with your life in a positive way. Will it be an easy feat? No. Does it need to be done? Yes. It needs to be felt fully, processed completely, allowed to heal, and finally let go of to move forward into a new phase of life. Yes, the road ahead will always have its twists, turns, ups, and downs, but it's time to stop holding onto the past. Live in the now and plan for your future. We have to remember that there is beauty to be had in this world. And even at our lowest times, there is always a brilliant spark of hope waiting to ignite to lead us out of the darkness.

4. Thursday: 4 of Cups Reversed

  • Stone: Citrine

  • After yesterday's card, this one is super great! This means that today we're ready to take that step forward and let go of the regrets that may be holding us down. Being self-aware of our issues has allowed us to work through them and let them go. We are finding ourselves motivated to put an end to our self-imposed stagnation in the life we're currently leading. We are renewed and energized for the new cycle of our life. We will remember to remain focused on the positive aspects of our experiences and be grateful for the abundance of good things in our lives. And even when we have bad times, we will not wallow in them, but remember to heal, learn, and grow from them. We let go of the people and patterns in our life that aren't good for us while embracing the opportunities before us.

5. Friday: Queen of Pentacles

  • Stone: Citrine

  • Today we'll make a conscious effort to move away from any selfish and close-minded tendencies we may still have. Such as the previous wallowing in self-pity... Let's open up our hearts to others and show our love and ability to care for others. People will appreciate it more than you know. Remember to keep our feet grounded and remain in the present. By focusing on our goals, working hard, and using our resources wisely, we'll reach the stability and security that we crave. Keep Monday's Temperance card in mind, though, and maintain a healthy work-life balance. No need to work ourselves to the bone and fall into yet another unhealthy rut that we'll then have to work to pull ourselves out of.

6. Saturday: 9 of Cups

  • Stone: Dalmatian Stone

  • What a great card for any day of the week, but especially Saturday. We've worked hard all week and are content with what we've accomplished so far. Count your blessings and show your gratitude for the good things in your life all around you. The planning and hard work we've put in are starting to pay off, and will steadily continue to do so if we put the work that's needed into it. We will enjoy it to the fullest but maintain our modesty and appreciation for our good fortune.

7. Sunday: #17 The Star

  • Stone: Citrine

  • Everyone has challenges and conflicts in their life at one point or another. The Star has an inclination to show up after periods of confusion and disruption in our lives. It gives us a guiding light in the dark and showers us with its warm, loving glow as we move on to a more peaceful cycle in our life. Its gentle light reminds us to always have hope within our hearts and that there are magic and opportunities all around us. It glimmers and twinkles brightly, waiting for us to trust in ourselves and make a wish. Our dreams can come true if we reach for them. We are renewed with hope, inspiration, and purpose. Embrace and love yourself for who you truly are.

And that's a wrap, folks! That's what we've got going on this week. Let me know if you've got any questions down below.

This Wednesday, we'll be going over the next Major Arcana Card, #4 The Emperor! So be sure to come back to class and learn all about it. I certainly look forward to it!

If you're someone who's just starting out in Tarot, I highly encourage you to start from the beginning with Tarot Class: Intro to the Cards. I go over some general information on the cards and break them down for you a bit. Another good one to look at would be The Three Card Spread and its Many Uses. It's great for beginners and experienced readers alike.

Friday, I'm going to be doing a Divination Spread post to help us with all this inner work. Stay tuned in for that. Again, apologies for it being this week instead of last Friday.

Next Monday, of course, we'll have our Weekly Divination Outlook.
